March 21, 2009 proved that one voice can make a difference.  Lisa Feroli took the initiative to speak up on Feb. 17 on the Bud Hediger Show.  But, speaking up is not enough if you do not have the resolve to follow through with your convictions.  Lisa then set up an email address and recruited friends and family.  She commited herself to following through with this event, event when it began to look like a monumental undertaking. 

Many of you made your voice heard on March 21st, we are so thankful for your passion and patriotism!  Many of you signed the scroll and sentyour Tea Bag mailers to Washington.  But it's not over.  Those who would like to crush our Constitution are still in power.  Your voice is your power.  Keep writing letters to Washington,  pledge to write one every week!  Don't be afraid to speak to family and friends about your anger about the state of our great nation, you may find you have more patriots around you than you ever imagined.  Keep yourself informed and involved, don't listen to the mainstream media, seek out alternative sources to obtain the truth. 

And finally, if you would really like to commit yourself to doing something hear locally, email us.  We are considering another, larger event later this year.  We will need help.  BUT please consider whether you are truly able to commit your free time to something like this.  It is not exciting work and it is not glorious.  It is tedious- but ultimately very rewarding.

We are recuperating and regrouping for the next week e are considering a future event (even bigger?)  Please bear with us.

This event is on fire!  We are getting a tremendous response and are very excited about the potential turn out.  Thank you so much to everyone who has written to us and called in to the Budman with words of patriotism and support.  Everyone is spreading the word and news of the Orlando Tea Party is spreading across the internet and the airwaves.  We would like to make it even easier for you to help us promote the event, so we have added flyer templates to our Event page which you can print and post throughout Orlando (please use good judgment!).  You can also find our t-shirts on the Event page. 

We have also added a FAQ section to our web site so please check that out!  In addition, we are continually updating our "Links" page with articles relevant to the state of our country.  Inform yourself with what is happening.  Remember, the media will certainly be at this event and they may just want to hear what you think of our government, our economy and the current state of America. Be prepared to tell the press and the public exactly where you stand and why!

Please take the time to read the inspiring words on the Guest Book page.  The comments grow by the hour.  You will see that YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE FED UP WITH WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THE PRINCIPLES OF THIS GREAT COUNTRY.  For too long we have been content to grumble our grievances over the dinner table.  On March 21, we will make ourselves heard! 

The word is spreading.  We have received hundreds of emails from every type of American from all over the country.  We have groups that are planning to bus members to the event from other counties, people have emailed from Tampa, Vero Beach, Jacksonville and even Georgia to say they plan to drive to Orlando to attend.  We are just overwhelmed and deeply inspired by the response and the the resounding message is clear: "We need to stop this now!" 

So, rally your friends, family, neighbors and strangers on the street.  Let us be a voice that echos all the way to Washington on March 21st!

First, I would like to thank everyone for their overwhelming show of support and patriotism.  It has been truly inspiring! 

Secondly, I think it’s time to let everyone know exactly how this whole thing began.  My name is Lisa Feroli.   I am an ordinary citizen like each of you.  And like most of you, I have become very distressed about the trends of the government toward what I feel is a socialistic agenda.  So, I figured I would create an email address  where people of like mind could email and maybe share their thoughts and ideas with me.  I also emailed Bud Hedinger to ask if he knew any organizations who may want to stage a rally.  Little did I know, I was to BECOME that organization!  Bud announced that I wanted to hold a rally and the emails came flooding in.  Every type of person imaginable emailed with their stories, frustration and most importantly an overwhelming love of this country.   I suddenly felt obligated to make this happen for our city and for our country.

Since then, I have been working with a small group of close friends and family and of course, Bud to make this happen.  As you’ve heard, we have secured the venue and have Lloyd Marcus entertaining.  So many of you have ideas and questions and we welcome all of your suggestions.  This day is for all of us and we will do our best to represent everyone to the best of our ability, while keeping a central focus. 

We are still in the very early stages of our planning, so please bear with us for a few more days if our updates are not as comprehensive as you might like.  We will update everyday so that you can be assured that we are working hard on making this happen.  We are also reading every email.  Forgive us if we do not respond to your questions immediately, we are simply overwhelmed.  For those offering help, rest assured that you will be contacted at some point when we have a better grasp of what our needs will be.  We are carefully filing all your requests/offers.

Though planning is still very much in progress, there are a few points that we can share:

-Most importantly this will be  a peaceful rally of local citizens who are concerned about the direction our country is headed in.  However, it will be a gathering of Hope, Patriotism and Determination.  We want our representatives to know that we ARE watching and we do not like what we are seeing.  We have been silent too long and we are ready to reclaim our government.  
 
-Though this is billed as a “Tea Party” we cannot stress enough that we will not tolerate anything being thrown into our beautiful Lake Eola for any reason. 
 
We hope to have additional information for you very soon and will certainly post it here as soon as we have it.  Thank you again for all of your support.  Remember that YOU are the ones making this happen.  Please continue to spread the word!  

This weekend we secured the amphitheater of Lake Eola for March 21 from 12pm until 2pm for our Orlando Tea Party Rally.  So, please save the date and spread the word!

As you can see, we have our web site up and running to keep you all up to date with how the event is progressing.  We are also asking that you please consider contributing via Paypal to help pay for the costs of the venue.  We are expecting costs to run between $2000 and $3000.  Every dollar counts, so please consider contributing whatever you can.
